ABOUT
Heather Cleveland
Physical Therapist
MScPT
My name is Heather Cleveland. I am a Physiotherapist, wife, and mother of two boys. As a Physiotherapist, I have the privilege of helping people reach physiotherapy related goals which can include: pain reduction, recovery from injury and illness, managing chronic health conditions, improving strength, range of motion, safety, mobility, and improving quality of life.

I strongly believe that effective physiotherapy treatment should focus on treating the root cause of a condition or finding ways to manage a condition in order to maximize function. This should not include treating symptoms with machine-based interventions or providing "cookie cutter" treatment approaches.

I have over 15 years of experience working with infants, children, adults, and seniors. I have practiced in the areas of outpatient orthopedics, pediatrics, medical and surgical inpatients, Veterans long term care, community (home) based service and the public school setting (P-12).

My formal education includes a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto (2004) and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (Honours) with an Ergonomics speciality, from the University of Waterloo (2002).

I am in good standing with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapy and I am a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.

I look forward to meeting you and working together to help you reach your physiotherapy related goals!
